I know there are a lot of these scams floating around Facebook. Personally I do not worry about them. I have all my privacy settings as open as possible, I do not click on any such posts, and in fact usually just ignore them as I knew they were scams. I do not use FB for personal stuff and never post private things on here. I use it primarily to exercise my trade, to pass information and give my opinion on the issues of the day. I know there are many who follow me who are no ... t on my friend's list. There is a thing somewhere, or used to be anyway, where you could actually find the number of followers who are not on your list. At that time I had over 12,000! But then, this is something I personally actually wanted because of my postings.

Then again there are downsides to opening your privacy settings the way I do. You do get a ton of friend requests, and most of them I do not want. So many are scammers, not to mention all the beautiful young ladies looking for marriage! OK. I know who and what I am. I also know how old I am and I do not hide from my age. To think I am so wonderful that so many young ladies really want me for me would be the ultimate in vanity! But do take heed here. I hate thieves and I hate hearing how people got ripped off!
