When we were first married, Jack's granddad was still alive. He had a milk cow that had just calved. Of course, you have to take the calf off the milk cow almost right away. I couldn't believe that anyone could be so cruel!! The poor calf was bawling her head off. I ended up spending the night in the barn with the calf's head in my lap while I tried to comfort her.
